It's been a while since I've posted on here...that's my fault because I've been too busy being depressed about how lonely I am up in the north. BUT DON'T WORRY because it seems to be getting much better now which is nice.
I was just reading through some of our old posts, and I was astonished how much we ARE like inbetweeners crew. I feel I have a lot in common with Will (who is actually coming to do stand up at my uni on the 12th). Maybe things don't go as drastic as they do with him, but they certainly do go drastic sometimes. We are so not the cool crew but in a way that's actually pretty cool.
Also, for the record, I love hitch.
We've finished school, for ever.
We can't say, "have a good weekend and see you at school on Monday"
I just hope that since we are such a close group of friends it shall be: "see you at Rothamsted tomorrow" or what everyone wants to hear "tea, biscuits and a film at Marsh's"
After exams we shall enjoy our FREEDOM!
I don't want this blog to shrivel up and die, so I'm writing this post with no idea of its content. Cue spontaneous blogging!
I'm going to talk about something that Vicky/Victoria/Tors/Marsh/Marshy/Marshypoo/Hoe #2 said about our group. She said we were like the people of an E4 programme The Inbetweeners.
So lets see if there are any similarities:
- It is set in a typical suburb outside London - Yep
- They are people who aren't cool enough to be popular, but not geeky enough to be nerds. - Yeah we aren't 'the cool kids', but Nick Li is in the group and he is nerdy
I think there is some similarities, but none of us are really like the characters in the show, so this blog is all about proving Vicky WRONG.
I feel like I should write something more meaningful, let me think...
Trevor has Swine Flu, he hasn't been using the hand sanitisers at school.
Me and Joe have recently made a comeback special, which was a VERY special edition and won't be available anywhere, BUT the good news is it went well, and what with the long summer ahead I reckon that there will be LOADS more Mike N Joe shows to come. Now we're used to it, I'm seeing hour long episodes, FULL of artificially created banter, and all sorts of antics by Helen, and of course Claire.
And of course, it is really encouraging to see that we have ONE FOLLOWER.

I liked Hitch when I saw it...

As a group we often get together to watch a film, or three (Lord of the Rings). The past two occasions it has been the cringe worthy genre of chick flickyness.
The first film was Hitch
I could explain the plot of the film, but it is obvious. Guy likes girl, can't get girl because of X, Y or Z, ends up getting with girl.
Not only is the film terrible, but since you don't require any attention span to watch everyone talks, and when I say everyone I mean Amy.
"Where have I seen her from"
"What film has he been in"
It goes on and on...
Once we have figured out that the actor was in West Wing or something, we return to watching the film. Even though we have missed the past 5 minutes of drivel, you can pick up the film easily.
The second film in said chick flickyness is How to Loose A Guy in 10 Days
This follows the same pattern, even the characters have the follow the same personality. The guy is rich and has a jockish persona, and the girl is the independent "I don't need a man" type.
This film was so bad that we stopped watching it after 40 minutes, and without watching the rest of it the ending is incredibly predictable, the guy gets the girl.
Films need to have a good story line, impressionable characters, some special effects, and no "I want you but can't have you"
If we ever watch Twilight, I shall disown my group of friends and become a priest.

Hello Blog world this is Joe (the one sleeping in a slightly odd postition in the photo above ^^)
I've never really written a blog post before, so I am not sure what to write, I might put a picture in just for the hell of it.
Those are the people who went to a cottage in the Lake District. I chose that picture because are all reasonably happy, our trains may have been messed up and we ended up in Birmingham, but we were still happy.
A picture from the end of the trip showed an eagerness to get home, or maybe it was an eagerness to get away from each other considering we were living in the middle of no-where for a week with a piano, a field and some DVD's for fun. And each others lovely company, can't forget that.
But what made everyone smile and happy was these little radio shows that Mike and I made nearly everyday. Even when we woke everyone up with sirens and baby cries at 7am, they still woke up with a cheek grin and laughed, definetly not grumpy about being woken up so early...

When I was on the Mike and Joe in the Lake District Show iTunes page, my eyes wondered to the side panel saying "Listeners Also Subscribed Too". On this list is "Cumbria - The Lake District Podcast" and "BBC Wildlife Magazine"
Well at least lots of tea drinking, scarf knitting, book reading, hill walking Grannies like the podcast. Hang on, I've just described our entire group of friends who went on the trip....
