A Welcome Message from Mike and Joe
On a trip to the lake district last year, we began making a "radio show" which basically summarised the events of that particular day. It was "broadcast" or played really loud in the house we were staying in, and after the trip we put it on iTunes as a podcast (Mike and Joe in the Lake District Show) for the group who went to download as a sort of souvenir type thing.
But for some reason, we had like 50 people download it, which was about 40 more than we expected. And its probable gone up since then.
So we decided to do a blog as well, just in case anybody still cared.
Mike and Joe

The lake district 2010 trip is drawing ever nearer, and that means soooooon enough, me and Joe will be back on itunes with much much more ridiculous noise :D so keep an ear out :D
WELL WELL WELL.
If it isn't my old blog.
GUESS WHAT?! That's right. We're returning to the lake district. And we have plans for a... erm...a "second series" if you will of wondrous podcasts and perHAPS even a TELEVISION SHOW?!
SO keep an ear/eye out. We might even update this blog in the lake district as the week progresses. Anyway, it's MILES away so we'll have to see. :P Hope all of our followers, ie one of you, is doing well.

My last post was before exams, and that was over 6 months ago!
Since exams we have all been busy having fun till September time when people started heading off to university.
This summer was such fun, we took our innuendoes to Italy, which was great fun. If you are my friend on Facebook you can read some diary-like entries of the trip
here
The rest of the summer went by very fast, but we did cram in walks to Sandridge, a cycle ride to the Waffle House and even a night clubbing which was a first for a few of us.
Then September came, even thinking about it make me sad. One by one people left Harpenden and headed in all directions to their uni's which are scattered all over the country:

It must be hard for everyone to make friends with people less awesome than Mike and I, but everyone is coming home soon, which I can't wait for!! I haven't bullied anyone in 14 weeks, so when Vicky comes home I shall unload criticisms onto her!
It's been a while since I've posted on here...that's my fault because I've been too busy being depressed about how lonely I am up in the north. BUT DON'T WORRY because it seems to be getting much better now which is nice.
I was just reading through some of our old posts, and I was astonished how much we ARE like inbetweeners crew. I feel I have a lot in common with Will (who is actually coming to do stand up at my uni on the 12th). Maybe things don't go as drastic as they do with him, but they certainly do go drastic sometimes. We are so not the cool crew but in a way that's actually pretty cool.
Also, for the record, I love hitch.

We've finished school, for ever.
We can't say, "have a good weekend and see you at school on Monday"
I just hope that since we are such a close group of friends it shall be: "see you at Rothamsted tomorrow" or what everyone wants to hear "tea, biscuits and a film at Marsh's"
After exams we shall enjoy our FREEDOM!

I don't want this blog to shrivel up and die, so I'm writing this post with no idea of its content. Cue spontaneous blogging!
I'm going to talk about something that Vicky/Victoria/Tors/Marsh/Marshy/Marshypoo/Hoe #2 said about our group. She said we were like the people of an E4 programme The Inbetweeners.
So lets see if there are any similarities:
- It is set in a typical suburb outside London - Yep
- They are people who aren't cool enough to be popular, but not geeky enough to be nerds. - Yeah we aren't 'the cool kids', but Nick Li is in the group and he is nerdy
I think there is some similarities, but none of us are really like the characters in the show, so this blog is all about proving Vicky WRONG.
I feel like I should write something more meaningful, let me think...
Trevor has Swine Flu, he hasn't been using the hand sanitisers at school.
Me and Joe have recently made a comeback special, which was a VERY special edition and won't be available anywhere, BUT the good news is it went well, and what with the long summer ahead I reckon that there will be LOADS more Mike N Joe shows to come. Now we're used to it, I'm seeing hour long episodes, FULL of artificially created banter, and all sorts of antics by Helen, and of course Claire.
And of course, it is really encouraging to see that we have ONE FOLLOWER.
Woopwoop.
Mike xx
